Summary

In this course, you will be introduced to pixel based digital imaging methods and techniques for you to develop and explore in your own way. Experimental approaches are welcomed. We will be using free online software that runs on Mac, PC or Chromebook. The aim of the course is to introduce you to digital imaging in the hope that you gain an understanding of the key concepts of working with pixel-based editing software.

How will I learn?

Weekly tasks will be set by your tutor Oli Timmins. The tasks will feature a set of instructions and recommended resources as a starting point. Your tutor will also link to other artists to contextualise the task and expand your knowledge of digital imaging in the creative practices. It is key to maintain an open mind, and to see the potential in what you create.

All you need to do is fill in a short enrolment form and wait for an access link to be sent via e-mail. From there, you will get access to the following:

  • A tailored 12-week package with exciting and creative tasks.
  • Online tutorials with your tutor who will give you further support, advice and guidance.
  • Access to group chats and four webinars lead by your tutor giving you the opportunity to discuss your work and ideas with other students.

Live Online Interactive Learning Webinars
With this course we have brought the classroom to you and created an interactive online learning environment. These sessions are never pre-recorded and like in a classroom you will have a teacher and other students interacting with you live on set teaching dates. Allowing you to ask questions and gain skills all without leaving your desk. For more information on how these classes work please email [email protected].

You will also receive support and feedback from your Tutor and at the end of the course you will receive a certificate.
