Covid Update

On Tuesday 29 March, the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Sajid Javid, set out the next steps for living with COVID-19 in England from Friday 1 April.

Updated guidance advises:

  • Adults with the symptoms of a respiratory infection, and who have a high temperature or feel unwell, should try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people until they feel well enough to resume normal activities and no longer have a high temperature.
  • Children and young people who are unwell and have a high temperature should stay at home and avoid contact with other people. They can return to college when they no longer have a high temperature, and are well enough to attend.
  • Adults with a positive COVID-19 test result should try to stay at home and avoid contact with other people for 5 days, which is when they are most infectious. For children and young people aged 18 and under, the advice is 3 days.

For education and childcare settings from Friday 1 April:

  • Regular asymptomatic testing is no longer recommended in any education or childcare setting, including in SEND, alternative provision and children’s social care settings. Therefore, we will no longer be able to order test kits .

Menopause is a natural part of life, but it can be a time of significant change for women. This course will provide you with the information and support you need to thrive through menopause. With 1 in 5 women experiencing severe symptoms, menopause is an inevitable and often misunderstood process. In this course, we aim to break the silence surrounding menopause and provide you with the knowledge, support, and empowerment you need to navigate this journey with confidence.

You will learn about the physical and emotional symptoms of menopause, as well as the different treatment options available. You will also have the opportunity to connect with other women who are going through menopause, and to share your experiences and learn from each other.

This course is perfect for any woman who is going through or approaching menopause. It is also a great resource for healthcare professionals who want to learn more about menopause and how to support their patients.

How will I learn?

This course is for any person experiencing or who will experience menopause symptoms and would like to find out more. Delivered face to face at the SGS College WISE Campus. The course is a tutor led interactive session in a safe environment with interactive activities. You will also have access to a forum where you can ask questions and connect with other learners.

No prior qualifications or experience are necessary—just a willingness to learn, share, and support one another.
