This is an exciting opportunity for adults with barriers to learning to join our Inspiring Independence course designed specifically to develop everyday skills and learn about health and the local area through a range of interesting projects and activities.
This course will:
• Enable independence and enhance confidence
• Improve IT skills, using technology to help with everyday life
• Develop communication skills through reading, writing and discussions
• Promote community participation, engagement and social inclusion
• Provide opportunities to maintain physical and mental wellbeing, with a focus on health
• Gain a better understanding on climate change and what can be done to help
Our tutor, Geraldine will offer a supportive and safe environment in which the course will take place. There will be plenty of opportunity to visit local places to inspire and help with projects and understanding.
This course is based at our Stroud campus in the centre of Gloucestershire, surrounded by the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The campus is moments away from Stroud train station and easily accessible by bus.
