SGS College are dedicated to providing outstanding teaching and learning to our local communities, and with maths being an vital part of everyday life we are delighted to introduce our Multiply Your Money (MYM) programme. MYM is aimed at learners looking to prepare for a Entry 1 or Entry 3 Maths Functional Skill, with the desire to study from the comfort of their own home. During the 8-week course you will receive weekly Love2Shop vouchers (value of £25 per week) and have regularly advice and guidance sessions with our Maths team. Our Matrix accredited careers team will also be on hand to support your next steps.
On completion you will also have the opportunity to visit us onsite for your Functional Skill exam.

Developing your confidence and fluency in maths is really important and at SGS we recognise the value in supporting people to develop this essential life skill. The functional skills qualification is designed to enable you to develop a number of basic skills including number properties, factions, decimals, measurements and handling data. At the end of the course you should be much more confident in applying these skills to everyday scenarios. We will be providing regular support and guidance, so please don't panic if you are finding it difficult. How will I learn?
Online workbook access will be provided on successful enrolment, with our dedicated MYM team on hand to answer any questions. The workbook provides you with 8 weeks’ worth of study material (based on 3 hours a week independent dedication to the course). In addition to workbooks, you will be provided with access to various short online support videos and assessments which will be fully accessible on your mobile phone or tablet.
Our dedicated support team are on hand to help you every step of the way and can provide you with weekly additional learning support where appropriate.
You must be 19 or over to study this course and an initial assessment will take place to identify your interest in studying Maths, while gaining an understanding of the appropriate level course you should be entered on (Entry 1 or Entry 3).You will also need a mobile phone and data contract that allows you to access the internet. This is to enable you to access the online guidance videos workbooks and feedback forms to help you complete your course.
