The retail sector is huge, with reported retail sales of £394 Billion in the UK alone. The sector has plenty of opportunities, from dealing with day-to-day customer care and generating sales to influencing trends and making strategic business decisions.

This course is also fully-funded meaning you will have no fees to pay for attending this course and is delivered throughout Bristol within one of our community venues.

  • City & Guilds Customer Service Level 1 Certificate (Delivered Online)
  • Emergency First Aid at Work (Delivered In Class At A Later Date Due To Covid-19)

How will I learn?

UpskillED courses are specifically aimed at those who wish to gain recognised qualifications and knowledge of their chosen industry. Due to the Prime Minister's announcement we have brought the classroom to you and created an interactive online learning environment. These sessions are never pre-recorded and like in a classroom you will have a teacher and other students interacting with you live on set teaching dates. Allowing you to ask questions and gain skills all without leaving your desk.

During these courses you will learn all the important transferable skills as well as sector specific training, all of which will help you gain employment and is delivered using engaging classroom activities, workbooks and discussion groups. Industry expert talks are also provided by local employers to give you an insight into the industry and inspire you to consider the sector as a career choice.

This course is made up of different sessions within its course length. On the course start date session you will be provided with a structured timetable. If you have any questions regarding dates you need to be available please email.

You may be asked to complete a short initial literacy assessment prior to starting, as learners will be required to have basic literacy skills (level 1) to successfully complete this course.

Additional Information

We have been working hard to ensure we offer a safe learning experience and have followed all Government guidelines to enable us to deliver our UpSkillED courses safely. Full PPE will be provided but we do ask you to bring your own face mask, as this will be needed when you enter the building.

We may need to take a number of measures that could affect our planned delivery dates. We will endeavour to ensure course information, including delivery methods, is updated when changes are having to be made.
