South Gloucestershire and Stroud College are pleased to collaborate with Nobilis to offer an exciting new initiative for the Care Sector.

We are offering a FREE Entry qualification as an introduction to the Sector which will finish with a guaranteed interview for Live vacancies with Nobilis.

Qualifications gained at the end of this course are:

  • NCFE CACHE Award in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children's and Young People's Settings
  • NCFE Equality and Diversity Certificate Level 2
  • NCFE Level 1 Award in Interpersonal Skills
  • Health and Safety in Health and Social Care
  • Moving People Safely

On completion of the course, if you are successful at interview you will be employed by Nobilis and you will be given access to further training to develop your skills starting at Level 2. There are currently offers available for this training to also be FREE of charge subject to relevant entry criteria.

Nobilis have a range of vacancies available from Part Time to Full Time and evening and weekend only shifts to suit your individual requirements.

In order to qualify for this offer please confirm you meet the following criteria:

  • You are aged 19 or over and can drive and have regular access to a vehicle.
  • You are caring by nature and have a desire to begin a fulfilling career in the care Sector.
  • You will develop by:

    • Gaining the skills employers are looking for
    • Achieving relevant qualifications to help you succeed
    • Receiving careers guidance from our dedicated team
    • Learning effective interview techniques from local employers within the sector*
    • Receiving advice and guidance from local employers within the sector*
    • Having the opportunity of a guaranteed interview with local employers within the sector*

    How will I learn?

    This course is based at our Filton campus, located in South Gloucestershire which is easily accessible from the city of Bristol by train (Bristol Parkway / Bristol Abbey Wood) and bus.

    During this course you will learn all the important transferable skills as well as sector specific training, all of which will help you gain employment and is delivered using engaging classroom activities, workbooks and discussion groups. Industry expert talks are also provided by local employers to give you an insight into the industry and inspire you to consider the sector as a career choice.

    You may be asked to complete a short initial literacy assessment prior to starting, as learners will be required to have basic literacy skills (Level 1) to successfully complete this course.
