This is a 1-year course for candidates who work or want to work as a plasterer in the construction sector. You will learn, develop and practice the skills required for employment and/or career progression in plastering. You will cover the following skills: • Applying plastering materials to interiors • Fixing dry lining and plasterboards to interiors • Laying sand and cement screeds • Applying plastering materials to external backgrounds • Producing reverse moulds for fibrous work • Casting and fixing for fibrous plasterwork The course runs on a Monday and Tuesday. The total cost of the course is £1750.
What do I need to join?
You will need a grade 3 (D) or 4 (C) in Maths and English.
How will I know how I am doing?
To gain this qualification, you must achieve 53 credits, 34 from mandatory units and 19 from optional units. You will receive regular feedback from your course tutor, complete online multiple-choice exams and complete practical and theory marked assessments.
What can I do next?
You can progress into employment or onto a Level 2 NVQ or a Level 3 Diploma in Plastering.Apply for this course
