Our planet is facing the biggest natural challenge we have ever known. Carbon emissions and pollution are creating some of the worst disasters humankind has seen, from wildfires to extreme flooding. We all need to step up and make changes in our personal and professional lives, embracing new ways of living to ensure a sustainable future.
This qualification is suitable those wishing to promote sustainability in the workplace. You will learn more about climate change, and the adaptations you can make to be a driver of change in the workplace and at home. We will also explore renewable energy and how to reduce energy consumption. It is also popular with those who have a personal interest in learning more about climate change and sustainability and how you can contribute as an individual.
The units you will study are:
- Understand climate change, sustainability, and environmental
protection - Understand industry and the environment
- Understand resource efficiency and waste management
How will I learn?
This is an online qualification providing a flexible approach to learning. The qualification must be completed within 12 weeks. After an initial online induction, resources will be provided to enable learners to complete the units independently. Tutor support will be available through tutorial and constructive feedback on work submitted.
You will be assessed throughout the course via regular assignments.
Online courses enable you to set your own learning pace with the added flexibility of working to your own schedule. No classroom attendance is required, giving you full control of your learning whilst still having access to our experienced teaching and learning staff as required.

Course fees explained
The course fee is usually broken down into three components which are materials (resources required to study the course, for example stationery, books and other equipment), tuition (teaching, classroom etc) and exams. Depending on age, financial circumstances and a number of other factors, you could be asked to pay the full fee or just elements of it. Usually Learners under 19 studying Full-Time courses have just material fees, and if relevant, Academy fees, to pay. Over 19s on Full-Time or Part-Time courses usually have materials, exams and tuition fees to pay.
