This blended learning course provides individuals with the skills needed
in today's digital world of work and Life, enhancing employability as well as
addressing the frustrations of life in a digital world for those who may not
have the skill set to perform a variety of digital functions. These include
emailing for business and personal use, use of social media and apps, creating
and uploading files, online safety and digital shopping/ banking safely on a
variety of devices and online platforms .
Units include :
- Using devices and handling information
- Creating and editing
- Communicating
- Transacting
- Being safe and responsible online.
How will I learn?
You will learn in one of our state of the art IT suites, with the support of a tutor who will guide through the course, you will also have the opportunity to practice these skills on an online platform outside of the College . There is an exam at the end of course which will confirm your learning and practice papers are available to support with this.
Entry Requirements
This course is suitable for learners aged 19 and over. There are no formal entry requirements for this course, just a desire to improve your digital skills

Course fees explained
The course fee is usually broken down into three components which are materials (resources required to study the course, for example stationery, books and other equipment), tuition (teaching, classroom etc) and exams. Depending on age, financial circumstances and a number of other factors, you could be asked to pay the full fee or just elements of it. Usually Learners under 19 studying Full-Time courses have just material fees, and if relevant, Academy fees, to pay. Over 19s on Full-Time or Part-Time courses usually have materials, exams and tuition fees to pay.
