This qualification is designed to enable learners to enter the exciting world of the beauty therapy industry. It provides learners with the opportunity to learn in our professional salons. You will also have the chance to take part in trips, enrichment activities and work experience within the hair and beauty sector. and participate in competitions.

Learners will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience that is required to progress towards careers as a mobile therapist, spa therapist and beauty salon therapist.

This Level 2 course is based at our Filton campus, located in South Gloucestershire which is easily accessible from the city of Bristol by train (Bristol Parkway / Bristol Abbey Wood) and bus. As well as our Stroud campus in the centre of Gloucestershire, surrounded by the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The campus is a short walk from Stroud train station and easily accessible by bus.

How will I know how I am doing?

You will be assessed through observation of practical assessments, assignments and examinations. Experienced tutors will closely monitor and guide you through techniques to ensure you are meeting and exceeding industry standards. You will have personal one-to-one tutorials to review your progress regularly.

What do I need to join?

Learners will possess three GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including English and Maths and demonstrate good communication skills.

What can I do next?

Upon successful completion of this qualification, and by meeting the required progression criteria, learners may progress to the Level 3 qualification at SGS which will provide you with further training and experience and equip you with the additional skills that are required to work in this exciting industry. Alternatively, learners can apply for an apprenticeship in a related field.
