Summary
If you have a passion for make-up or strong artistic abilities, this specialist qualification will provide you with the knowledge, skills and understanding needed for employment in the creative industries or further degree study. By combining make-up artistry with creative art practice, this course allows you to express your creativity through projects that are closely aligned with real industry careers and contexts.
What do I need to join?
At least four grade 4s or above including an English or Maths GCSE at grade 4 or above plus a portfolio of recent work to show at Taster Day or A relevant Level 2 Diploma and an English or Maths GCSE at grade 4 or above (or Functional Skill Level 1 or above)
How will I learn?
Throughout the course, you will gain valuable experience through workshops, presentations, and projects designed by industry professionals. These experiences provide a real-world understanding of make-up artistry and prepare you for a successful career in the field. Projects make use of our specialist facilities, including access to our photography studio, allowing you to develop your skills in a professional setting and enhance your portfolio with high-quality work. Alongside technical skills, the programme focuses on essential soft skills such as communication, collaboration, organisation, and time management, all of which are key to achieving future professional success. The core of this programme is awarded by University of the Arts London (UAL). Work Experience
Gaining work experience through voluntary work or part-time employment is essential to gaining greater insight into the make-up industry. In addition to this, you will be involved in live projects within the College, providing practical experience and a deeper understanding of real-world applications. You may also have the opportunity to participate in college-led external placement opportunities, further enhancing your industry experience and connections
