Information Dates and EnrolmentSummary
Our exciting UAL Awarding Body Level 2 Award in Music has been developed to provide you with an introduction to performance and production. You’ll have the opportunity to explore different methods and skills and introduce theoretical knowledge to underpin your creative practice. This course is also a potential steppingstone into further music learning at level 3 and above. This course is intended to challenge students with their commitment, motivation and interest in music. It also provides an opportunity to explore and develop skills, knowledge and understanding of music with a view to preparing you for a career in the music industry.
How will I learn?
Throughout the course, students will engage in a series of practical projects and studies, guided by experienced tutors who are passionate about the subject and dedicated to nurturing students' musical growth. In the first part of the course, you will develop your practical skills and expand your own creative responses to briefs through skills workshops. This will prepare you in the second half of the project to create a portfolio of your own work to take forward.
Entry Requirements
No previous experience is required, all we ask is that students have an interest in music performance or production and be willing to explore different methods and skills.

Additional Information
This course can be free for students who are on certain benefits or a low income, you may also claim for a bursary for the material costs of £90; for those that are not eligible for a fee waiver, the course is co funded which means the total costs will be £340 this includes the material costs. This course will run at our Stroud Campus.

Course fees explained
The course fee is usually broken down into three components which are materials (resources required to study the course, for example stationery, books and other equipment), tuition (teaching, classroom etc) and exams. Depending on age, financial circumstances and a number of other factors, you could be asked to pay the full fee or just elements of it. Usually Learners under 19 studying Full-Time courses have just material fees, and if relevant, Academy fees, to pay. Over 19s on Full-Time or Part-Time courses usually have materials, exams and tuition fees to pay.
