Summary

Are you having a good clear out and want to up-cycle your textiles and clothes? Then we have the course for you. This 12 week course will give you some ideas and instructions to spruce up and mend tired and worn out garments, to create gifts from unwanted items and to adapt home furnishings.

How will I learn?

Live Online Interactive Learning Webinars
With this course we have brought the classroom to you and created an interactive online learning environment. These sessions are never pre-recorded and like in a classroom you will have a teacher and other students interacting with you live on set teaching dates. Allowing you to ask questions and gain skills all without leaving your desk. For more information on how these classes work please email [email protected].

This is an online course. You will receive detailed work sheets each week through TEAMS (our online platform). Every 3 weeks there will be a group webinar lead by your tutor where you can chat with other students and get feedback and advice on your work, you will also be offered 1 to 1 tutorials with your tutor Kath Maeso.

Entry Requirements

You will need a sewing machine (or be adept at strong hand sewing) some basic sewing equipment (needles, pins, thread) and access to a computer for webinar sessions and tutorials. Where you can chat with other students and get feedback and advice on your work. Work sheets and patterns will also be available once you have enrolled.

If you have any questions regarding entry requirements please email [email protected] before completing an online application.
