Summary

This inspiring course will teach you a range of different techniques for printing your artwork onto textiles. You will create a portfolio of beautifully handmade fabric samples. We will start with some guided drawing to generate some artwork to work with, before taking this onto textiles using techniques such as screen printing, block printing and sublimation printing. From learning these techniques, you can leave the course with the knowledge of how to print onto garments, tablecloths, pillowcases, tote bags and more.

How will I learn?

You will be taught a new technique each week by an experienced textile printing practitioner. This will be demonstrated to you before you have a go on your own. You will be guided through the process, helping you to create a new textile piece each week to add to your growing fabric capsule collection. We will work in an experimental way to create exciting results!

Entry Requirements

This course is open to all abilities and there are no specific entry requirements, just an enthusiasm for textiles and an interest in learning some printing techniques. We will provide most of the fabrics and materials but if you want to bring along any garments or fabrics to print on feel free to. If you have any ideas or inspiration for the course then please bring them along.
