About the course

This course offers a hands-on introduction to a variety of printmaking techniques, providing a relaxed and supportive environment where you can experiment and develop your creative skills. Whether you're a beginner or someone looking to reconnect with your artistic side, this course will guide you through different methods of printmaking, helping you discover new ways to express your ideas.

Course content
You’ll explore a range of techniques such as dry point: intaglio, mono printing, relief printing: lino and more. The focus is on building confidence in your creativity while experimenting with different styles and approaches. Throughout the course, you'll be encouraged to work at your own pace, developing your personal artistic expression with the guidance of an enthusiastic and supportive tutor. While you'll have the freedom to explore your own creative ideas, we’ll also draw inspiration from various artists' works and different subjects—whether it’s landscapes, still life, portraits, or abstract concepts—to inform and inspire your prints.
What do I need to join
There are no formal assessments. Students will work towards a personal Tailored Learning Outcome regarding their physical health, mental health and developing stronger communities. During the beginning of the course, the tutor will spend 1:1 time with students to determine which learning outcome they would like to work towards.

Our courses offer many other opportunities including progression and support into further learning, skills for employment including building confidence to overcome health-related barriers to employment, access and support with essential skills and those who wish to turn their creativity into a career or progression into a qualification.

Students will work towards a Tailored Learning Outcome and by the end of the course, students will have progressed or worked towards their set goal, gain a deeper understanding of how the course can contribute to softer transferable skills. The course will offer many other opportunities including progression and support into further learning, skills for employment including building confidence to overcome health-related barriers to employment, access and support with essential skills in line with our funding criteria.

Pricing tiers

These courses are delivered under the government Tailored Learning Scheme. They are limited to one Wellbeing course per term (excluding online)

The courses are part-funded and therefore means / benefit tested, and fees may still apply.

Below is our sliding scale table of tiered costings depending on your financial situation. All of these costs are at the part-funded price.

£0 Free - low income below £23,400, JSA, ESA, UC cap: joint claim £988, sole claim £617

£40 - carers allowance, PIP, state pensions, Attendance allowance, Income under 27k, evidence of food bank vouchers, UC cap: joint £1188, sole £817

£50 - income 27 – 30k

£75 - income over 30k
