Summary

This course is designed for individuals who are thinking about working as a volunteer in the sport and leisure industry and will provide them with an insight of the personal standards required of them whilst volunteering. It is also suitable for those who are already volunteering in a sport setting and aims to raise your awareness of the role of a volunteer as well as identify and build on your existing skills.  Individuals will also get practical opportunities to develop as a volunteer coach in sport as well as other voluntary roles such event coordination, administration and officiating.

The course will cover:
Preparing to Volunteer in the Sport sector
Volunteering in sport
Voluntary Opportunities in the Sport and Leisure industry

How will I learn?

The course will be taught over 1 day and will be classroom based. You will be taught in a group using discussion, presentation, quizzes and online videos, building a portfolio of evidence across the course of the day.

To be eligible to study this course you must meet the following entry requirements. You must be aged 19 or over as of 31/08/21 You must have lived in the EU for the last three years You must currently reside in England
