SGS College Construction Faculty has an exciting opportunity for a Construction Green Skills Lecturer. This is a forward-thinking and dynamic role at the heart of the College vision for sustainability and low-carbon education.
You will lead and deliver engaging sessions focused on the impact and effects of global warming and high carbon emissions associated with traditional construction practices. The role involves teaching learners about climate change, sustainable construction methods, and innovative technologies designed to reduce environmental impact.
Topics include:
Learners will explore how the built environment contributes to climate change and how the construction industry is evolving to meet the demands of net zero carbon targets. You will inspire learners to see themselves as part of the solution by embedding eco-consciousness into their trade knowledge and practices.
This role would suit someone with experience in sustainable construction, green technologies, or retrofit. A teaching qualification is desirable, though support will be provided for the right candidate to achieve one.
