FTE Salary: up to £26,220.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)
Actual Salary: £21,587.26
Contract Type: Permanent, Term-Time only
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, 37 weeks per year

The specific duties of the HLTA will be determined by the Education Manager/ Provision Lead and will depend upon the needs of the provision. These duties will supplement those of Learning mentors in Oasis.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- To work closely with Education Manager, Provision Lead, therapists, teachers, and other staff to identify support needs and to implement and develop effective strategies.
- To prepare reports for ILPs and EHCP (Education, Health, and Care Plans) Annual Reviews.
- To plan and prepare 1:1 and small group lessons as required.
- Support and guide learning mentors and lead training as appropriate.
- To use appropriate de-escalation techniques to manage student anxiety and behaviour.
- To support students at unstructured times to interact with others and access SGS Stroud Campus facilities as appropriate.
- To support students to develop a pathway plan that includes Independent Living Skills and accessing the local community.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
- Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification
- GCSE/Level 2 Literacy
- GCSE/Level 2 Numeracy
