Job Reference 1806853Admin / Accounts Assistant (apprentice)Due to the growth of our business, we are looking to add to our administration team. We are looking for someone to shadow our existing admin and accounts team members. After time when the applicant is ready, they will be given their own responsibilities to help support the business.
You will be admin support.
You will have the ability to prioritise tasks and organise personal workload in order to meet deadlines and departmental targets.
This is a varied role, which requires the successful candidate to have excellent communication and organisational skills, be able to multi-task and take real ownership. A good knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred.

Duties will initially include, but are not limited to:
Answering the phone & directing calls
Inputting invoices on to our “easybuild” computer system
Managing our Sub Contractor data base, raising purchase orders
Assisting the accounts & procurement departments in general
From time to time you may be called to help assist our engineering team with printing drawings and putting documents together
The MCS team participate in various charity challenges throughout the year, as part of the MCS team you can take part in any capacity, raising money, assistance in event organisation and taking part in a challenge. Or if it’s not you that’s fine.
We also put on various company social events throughout the year which you can attend if you choose.
Computer literate, tech-savvy, familiarity with using MS Word, Excel. Easybuild (training will be given)
Good written and verbal communication and attention to detail
The ideal candidate will possess a positive ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to learn and gain new experience
An ability to work effectively both individually and as part of a team
Ability to pick up new processes and tools quickly
A positive, professional and enthusiastic approach to work
Creative, well organised and self-motivated
Must be able to handle highly confidential situations with professionalism and tact
You must be able to demonstrate you have adequate English and maths levels. You will be required to complete an English and maths assessment as part of the selection process. (This will be done at SGS College, Filton). You will be supported by SGS College to achieve an English and maths qualification if you don't hold one.
On completion of your apprenticeship, it could be career progression opportunities in various areas of the business. Good training and career progression opportunities.
