Apprenticeship Summary

Due to continued growth an exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Apprentice Administrator within our M&E Department. We offer a challenging but rewarding work environment and we will provide all the necessary training to enable the successful candidate to conduct the required roles.

Working alongside our experienced M&E Staff and friendly field-based Engineers. The department carries out commercial servicing, maintenance, repair and installation in both Mechanical and Electrical sectors for a wide range of clients.

Main Responsibilities

  • Taking phone calls & forwarding messages
  • Populating engineers work planners
  • Updating database systems
  • Creating sales invoices
  • Typing of letters and quotations
  • Compile tender documents, including plotting drawings, ready for Managers to price
  • General scanning and filing

Desired qualifications

GCSE (or equivalent) Grades A*-C or 4-9 in maths and English essential.

Having the right attitude, work ethic and commitment to your education as well as your employment are essential requirements to this role.

Future prospects

Progression to the Level 3 Administration Apprenticeship will be offered to the right candidate on successful completion of the apprenticeship.

This is a busy office environment so the ability to remain calm and logical will be beneficial.

Training

As the successful apprentice, you will undertake:

  • Intermediate Apprenticeship in Customer Service with an embedded administration pathway

The apprenticeship will be delivered by a South Gloucestershire & Stroud College Assessor. You will be required to attend Stroud Campus to complete any underpinning knowledge support, however, the majority of your assessments towards your qualifications will be undertaken within the workplace environment.

You will be assigned a supervisor/mentor within the workplace who will support you to develop your workplace skills, knowledge and experience throughout the duration of your apprenticeship programme.
