In particular the apprentice will be responsible for admin tasks, with an emphasis on finance data entry and supporting the admin manager, who was herself an apprentice with us!
Apprenticeship Summary
You will be trained and supported to undertake the following duties as per of your apprentice role:
- Filing
- Data entry – sage and rent system
- Dealing with post – incoming and outgoing
- Paying in cheques
- Ordering stationery
- Answering / making phone calls in general
- Chasing car documents (from staff members)
- Chasing EICRs and gas safety checks (from landlords)
- Chasing alerts for SSTI (these are system generated alerts when a support worker hasn’t logged an arrival at a service users house)
- Sending invoices (they are generated from info from CP which I would go through with them)
- CM2000 in time (with additional training) (electronic call monitoring updates)
- Monitoring rent payments
- Entering payments received mainly onto spreadsheet

This could lead to permanent employment for the right candidate and if a position is available at the end of training

Salary will be reviewed after 6 months
The candidate will require a DBS check, this will be funded by SiLS. SiLS will help you with applying for this.

SGS has elected to deliver the on-programme learning using the Level 3 Diploma for the Business Administrator.
The standard is assessed by a range of methods to meet all the knowledge, skills and behaviours. Evidence will be collated within a portfolio of evidence. To achieve the full Level 3, all units of the Diploma must be passed, meeting the assessment criteria. College attendance for the delivery of the Diploma is mandatory for all apprentices.
This apprenticeship requires learners to achieve maths and English at Level 2. Typically, it is realistic for learners to progress up one level during the apprenticeship. At interview, we will carry out an assessment to determine current literacy and numeracy levels. We will take account of any support needs in determining the suitability of learners for this apprenticeship.
You will be assigned a supervisor/mentor within the workplace, who will support you to develop your workplace skills, knowledge and experience throughout the duration of your apprenticeship programme.
