Hundreds turn out for West Bristol Arts Trail

Bristol School of Art welcomed hundreds of people through its doors, October 11-12, as part of the West Bristol Arts Trail.

This annual event, which is sponsored by Bristol school of Art, is completely free and sees approximately 100 local artists open their homes and studios to the general public for display. Public venues such as hotels, schools or churches also participate in the event.

Of the 100 artists, over 20 were current or former Bristol School of Art students, demonstrating the art school’s impact within the Bristol art scene.

Jo Kear, Head of Department at Queens Road, comments: “Bristol School of Art is delighted to support this fantastic event. Bristol has a strong art following and this exciting event is a true delight for all. Whether someone is an avid art lover or simply looking for a pleasurable weekend activity, there is always something along the arts trail that excites, motives or inspires.”
