Female boxers through to Quarter Finals

Two SGS AASE female boxers have won their way through to the England Boxing Youth Quarter finals in Rotherham, taking place from 11th to 14th of February.

Natalie Craig aged 17 and 16 year old Elizabeth Bools won their regional rounds to become Western County champions and will now head to Rotherham as Clubs for Young People National champions which, they secured last November.

SGS AASE Coach, Craig Turner said: “I am delighted by the results the girls are earning, they are both diligent trainers and very conscientious students.  This is proof positive that if you work hard the results follow.”

Natalie commented: “I am really looking forward to the tournament that potentially will see me box a quarter, semi and final in four days.  We have fully prepared and I am confident of bringing back the title.”

Similarly Elizabeth is in confident mood. She added: “Most of my opponents are taller however, this gives me an advantage of coming in under their line of vision.  I fully intend to use this positively and do well.”
