Sports Journalism students to live-stream Pride game on Monday

The Pride American Football Academy will play touring Canadian High School, Selwyn House on the 4G pitch at Wise Campus at 3pm next Monday, March 6.

The game will be streamed live by a crew of first and second year sports journalism students from SGS College, who will cover the action from four cameras positions and by running a mixing desk.

It will be the second time the sports journalism students will have live-streamed a major sporting event at the college in as many weeks as they successfully ran a live stream when the French Under-19 academy visited SGS College to play the Pride two weeks ago.

The game will be streamed live on Facebook and also on YouTube via the Double Coverage website.

It is the first American Football game to be played on a school day in eight years and entry is free to all.

Most notably the match against the Canadian high school will mark the Pride’s annual ‘Pink’ game, which helps to raise money for cancer research. This is just another great reason for everyone to come and support the team on Monday.
