What is the best thing about your job?

The best thing about my job is helping both learners and staff fulfil their potential in the most enjoyable way possible.  I believe in education is lifelong as can be seen my continued learning.  I have a BA (hons) in Education with Psychology, a BSc in Life Sciences, PGCE in Post 16 Education and PgDip in Health and Exercise, First Aid and Work and Paediatric First Aid.

I have been working in Education since 1996.  I have worked in four Further Education Colleges, a Sixth Form, and two Private schools.  I have worked with children from 3 years of age up to adulthood, including some with disabilities such as learners with Asperger's Syndrome and Downs Syndrome.  I have managed and taught courses from many awarding bodies.  I am a mother so also have the experience of childcare for birth onwards.  Prior to this I was a manager of an outdoor education centre for schools.

Anything else you would like to include?

I believe in a healthy body and a healthy mind spending as much time outdoors as possible.  I walk my dogs daily and practice yoga.  This enables me to be energetic and focussed in work.
