  • ACE Flex

    These courses are designed a course for young people aged 16-18 who may have experienced barriers to learning for a wide variety of reasons and who may have had an interrupted education or negative experiences at school. The main focus of the programme is for learners to develop their self confidence, improve their self-esteem, gain qualifications and move onto further courses at the college, and prepare for adult life. These courses are extremely successful in helping learners from school based programmes move onto college based vocational courses.

  • Adults with Barriers to Learning Aged 26+

    ABL is our part-time provision, providing inclusive opportunities for learners aged 26 and over, with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. The programme is made up of one day and half day courses in various subjects (see below for more details). We have a choice of different recreational subjects. Embedded into every session are personal targets that are appropriate to each learner. These are usually based on developing independence skills, social skills and communication skills. These will be negotiated with outside support agencies and embedded into an individual’s care plan. Learners can do as little as half a day or choose several options to make up 2 – 3 days in college.
