Asbestos is still found in many in commercial and domestic properties in the UK.
Workers and supervisors must be able to recognise asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) and know what to do if they come across them in order to protect themselves and others. This non- accredited compliance course will give delegates the knowledge to avoid the risk from asbestos containing materials.
Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at employers, safety representatives, self -employed contractors involved in maintenance work in buildings, those who have a duty to manage asbestos in commercial premises and anyone who has a responsibility to ensure the health and safety of maintenance staff.

The types, uses and risks of asbestos materials in buildings
What to do in an emergency should asbestos be discovered and disturbed
The law relating to asbestos
N.B Asbestos Awareness training does not prepare delegates for any type of work with asbestos. This is a half day course using a mixture of lectures, interactive exercises and videos. On completion of the course delegates will receive a certificate of attendance from SGS College.
