About the Course

From Psychology to Forensic Science, Duchamp to Damien Hirst, we explore some of the universal themes and pivotal innovations that have influenced and shaped the art of the last century. Unlocking the inspiration and drives that have motivated artists to create the art we love and hate!  Revealing how boundaries have been blurred between disciplines and how the past continues to shape and influence the future. Lectures draw on a broad field of visual resources and will dissect evidence and ideas through practical demonstrations, documentary footage, artist testimonials, group debate and student participation.
