Build Your Family Tree: Beginners’ Genealogy
This course is for anyone who wants to discover more about their ancestors. You will learn how to use birth, marriage and death records, the census, military records, prison records and more to uncover your family’s fascinating history.
How will the course be delivered?
The course is based in a classroom and delivered by a qualified instructor using audio and visual aids to support. Although spanning 12 weeks, the course will be 6 weeks taught in a classroom and 6 weeks independent research.
How will I learn?
You will follow step by step guidance from the tutor.
The classes are vibrant and interactive.
How will I know how I am doing?
The tutor will give lots of supportive feedback on your progress.
Is previous experience necessary?
No previous experience is necessary.
Do I receive a qualification?
There is no qualification.
What should I bring to my first class?
Please bring a pen, paper, folder for your hand-outs and the relevant text book.
