Level 3 Catering and Hospitality
Full time course
The Level 3 builds upon the skills acquired at Level 2, providing a detailed overview of the catering and hospitality industry. There are a broad range of theory and practical units, including advanced cookery methods, nutrition, planning menus and kitchen operations. Learners will build a wide range of skills that will enable them to secure work or an apprenticeship.
Maths and English
A key requirement to obtainingmany jobs is achieving a good standard of English and Maths. Therefore, learners that do not yet have a GCSE grade C will be enrolled on either GCSE or Functional Skills programmes alongside their main course.
You may also have the opportunity to complete additional qualifications, such as a hospitality or customer service course.
All students take part in a week's work experience within the industry. We encourage and provide support to those who wish to gain experience and can offer contacts to assist with arranging this.
During your time on this course, you will develop the skills that employers are really looking for, such as communication, numeracy, presentation skills, analysis, interpretation, application and the evaluation of information.
What do I need to join?
You will need five GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including English and maths.
How long is the course?
1 year course.

Your tutor will give regular feedback so that you can see how you are progressing through the course and what level you are currently working at. Our expert tutors are always on hand to assist you and help you achieve the grades you want.
Are there any extra costs?
Materials fees (non-refundable) and trips – these can be paid for in instalments.

This qualification prepares you for an apprenticeship or to secure direct employment.
