Supply Chain Management Apprenticeship - Intermediate
This Apprenticeship focuses on supporting the functions of a procurement team. The areas covered range from ordering and delivering materials, how to manage materials, stock and storage.
Duration and structure
The Apprenticeship will take a minimum of 12 months to complete. Apprentices are required to complete their training within the workplace, where an assessor will visit them and support their progress through on-site assessment.
An element of college attendance may be required which will be discussed with the assessor on induction.
There are no entry requirements for this quali- fication, although excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an interest in the supply chain are essential in this area.
All apprentices are required to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week. The employer is responsible for the employment of the apprentice as with any other employees.
What will an apprentice study?
This is a combined qualification which means the knowledge and competence elements are assessed together. This qualification is assessed within the workplace by an assessor only and therefore no college attendance is required for the knowledge element.
Maths, English and ICT at level 1. Apprentices will be expected to work towards level 2 on completion of level 1. Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR), Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PTLS).
On completion of the level 2 and with the correct level of employer support, learners can progess t o the Level 3 Apprenticeship Supply Chain Management.
