NVQ Diploma in Supply Chain Management - Level 3
Part time course
This qualification was introduced in 2012 and supersedes the NVQ in Supply Chain Management. It has been written by Skills for Logistics and is aimed at personnel involved in the planning, operating, implementing and controlling the operations of the supply chain.
What will I learn?
The qualification consists of 2 mandatory and a choice of a minimum of 12 optional units, which will be chosen in relation to your working role. Each unit is allocated a number of credits and the total credits obtained must exceed 42. This qualification is designed to recognise occupational competence in supply chain management.
How will I learn?
This qualification is delivered in the workplace on a one-to-one basis with a dedicated specialist assessor. Assessment is through building a portfolio of evidence that proves your competency.
What are the entry requirements?
Candidates need to be employed in a supply chain role. It is a work-based qualification that assesses an individual's competence to do a job. No previous qualifications are required but candidates need to be in a relevant working environment and a reasonable standard of literacy and numeracy is required.
What else do I need to know?
This qualification is delivered through one-to-one support in the workplace; therefore we do not have set start dates and are able to start candidates throughout the year at convenient times to suit the candidate, the employer and the assessor. It will take approximately 12 months to complete, and can be delivered as part of a supply chain apprenticeship programme or as a stand-alone qualification. Advice on what level you undertake will be provided by your assessor in relation to your job role.
