Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship - Advanced
This apprenticeship will enable you to develop in your role as a teaching assistant within a school setting.
What will I study?
You will study for a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools which consists of a portfolio of evidence, knowledge sessions in college and Functional Skills.
You will study a range of units such as:
Children and young people's development
Safeguarding and welfare for children and young people
Equality and Diversity and inclusion in working with children and young people
Schools as organisations
What can I do next?
Progression could be to the Foundation Degree in Education and Learning. Please contact your assessor or training advisor for more information.
What are my career opportunities?
You will play a vital role in the classroom. You will work closely with the class teacher on varied tasks such as supervising arts and crafts, reading to the class, listening to children read and assisting with outings. You may work in a specialist role such as supporting behaviour, welfare or pastoral needs.
