Accounting Apprenticeship - Advanced
The level 3 framework from AAT enhances skills and knowledge of double-entry book keeping, depreciation and adjustments, legislative requirements, profit or loss statements and spreadsheet software.
Duration and structure
The Apprenticeship will take a minimum of 12 months to complete. This Apprenticeship is combined and will involve weekly college attendance. All assessment is through online examinations. Progress reviews involving the learner, assessor and employer will take place within the place of employment.
Entry requirements for this qualification consist of an initial assessment of Maths and English as well as an interview with the tutor or course leader. It is prefer- able that the learner has a Level 2 AAT qualification.
All apprentices are required to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week. The employer is responsible for the employment of the apprentice as with any other employees.
What will an apprentice study?
This is a combined qualification which means the knowledge and competence elements are assessed together. This qualification is delivered in college only with the assessor visiting the workplace for progress reviews.
Maths and English at level 2. Employment Rights and Responsibilities (ERR), Personal Learning and Thinking Skills (PTLS).
On completion of the level 3 and with the correct level of employer support, learners can progess to the level 4 Accounting Technician.
