Level 1 Health and Social Care
Full time course
This qualification is designed to provide learners with the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge that are required to work in all aspects of care with different age groups.
What will I study?
Modules covered include communication in health and social care, craft activities, equality and inclusion, introduction to mental health and introduction to autistic spectrum condition.
Maths & English
All learners will study Functional Skills Maths and English alongside their vocational programme. Learners with a grade 3 (grade D) in Maths and English will be enrolled on the GCSE programme alongside their vocational course.
We will be delivering a variety of tasks and projects to improve your prospects of becoming more employable when you complete this course.
What do I need to join?
Two GCSEs at grade 2 or above, in English and maths. An acceptable DBS clearance and academic reference. Applicants will also need to successfully pass a taster day and a 6-week probationary period.
What can I do next?
Upon successful completion of the qualification, and all other elements of the study programme, learners can progress into a Level 2 programme at SGS.
