A Level English Literature
Full time course
The course is designed to cover a range of key texts, exploring Shakespeare, Scott-Fitzgerald, Forster, Alice Walker and Carol Ann Duffy: the aim being for you to discover a wide range of diverse writing whilst enabling you to hone your skills with regards to essay writing and research. You will learn through class discussion, which will involve reading ahead and presenting your ideas. You will need to have a genuine interest in literature.

What do I need to join?
To join the full time A Level Programme you need at least 5 full GCSEs grades 9–5 (A*–C), including English Language and Maths.
We look for self-disciplined, self-motivated students who can produce a substantial pieces of homework. You have to be someone who reads extensively.
How long is the course?
How will I learn?
You will learn through a disciplined procedure of class discussion, weekly homework essays and an expectation of your ability to read ahead and present your ideas. You will be expected to work in groups, speak to the class and have a genuine interest in literature.
How will I know how I am doing?
You will hand in homework each week and recieve feedback on how to improve and achieve your full potential.
Are there any extra costs?
You may be expected to purchase the key texts.
What can I do next?
You could continue to study to degree level in areas such as journalism, advertising, multimedia design, teaching, writing, PR, and marketing. Past learners have gone on to study English Literature, Creative Writing, Journalism and Media Studies at university.
